The Genione Aimpoint QRP Quick Release Mount is the standard mount for the Comp M2 and ML2 sights. This is the standard mount used by the US Military. It has a very good and easy to use quick release system. The large knob sticking out is used to tighten it on the firearm -- it has a slip system so that you cannot overtighten it. Very strong and solid mount, Attaches to a standard mil-spec picatinny rail, like that found on the M4 style flat top AR receiver or the various other military mounts / mounting systems for other firearms. When used on a flat top AR15/M4/M16 it requires a special spacer that fits inside the ring itself. (Or you can use it without spacer if you have a GG&G or ARMS sleeve rail installed.
